I define decolonization as the ongoing process of dismantling and deconstructing the impacts and structures of colonization and colonialism. However, an elder recently pointed out this language still centers colonization. Perhaps a less problematic terminology would be Indigenous resistance or justice or equality or rights. I compiled this list as a resource. The organizations listed contribute to the political and material conditions of Native communities in occupied Turtle Island and in Indigenous communities globally.
