Celebrate the start of SoulFood Poetry Night’s 15th year with MFA poets from the University of Washington Bothell. Scott Bentley, G Buck, Annika G. R. Bunney, and Cliff Watson will be our featured readers (bios below). Please join us at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2020 via the Zoom link below. Please bring your own poems for our open-mic reading, too. And please bring a friend, or a dozen!

SCOTT BENTLEY is a student in the Master of Fine Arts program in creative writing and poetics at the UW Bothell. He is a curator for the Gamut literary series and an editor for Clamor. His poetry and prose have appeared in Pacific Review, Albion Review, Clamor, and other journals.

As an artist, maker, and writer, G BUCK’S creative life began as a chef and restaurateur. Today they focus on creative writing, poetry, and visual art in pursuit of their MFA in interdisciplinary poetics from UW Bothell.

ANNIKA G. R. BUNNEY is an interdisciplinary creator focusing on traditional writing, nature-based creations, and assorted textual pieces. She is a first-year student in the Master of Fine Arts in creative writing and poetics at UW Bothell. Her ever-evolving work draws on classic literature, folklore, and mass media.

CLIFF WATSON is an MFA creative writing and poetics student at UW Bothell. His current work blends fiction, poetry, multimedia, and performance. In 2017, his piece Dialogue about croquet in a library was performed by acrobats in a circus show. 2020 publications include hybrid works in Clamor and poetics in The Crow.
